Not 1... Not 2.. but 4 Christmas Cards!

Hello everybody,
After a cyclone in south India, weather in Bangalore also has become very cold. Its raining for past two days and temperature has come down. I was feeling very sleepy whole day but I had done only sleeping yesterday. Lol. So I geared up and thought of making a Christmas card. I made one and then another and then another and made 4 in total.
I made this card first. And I liked it so much that I started making another immediately :) I just love kraft and white and it was on my mind for so long to try this combination. I stamped that Christmas tree, sentiment and those lights with vintage sepia Versafine ink and then added some details with white gel pen to depict the snow. Tree and lights are from Jingle bells stamp set and sentiment is from Santa and friends stamp set from Mudra.
And Now I present my second card

I used almost same technique as earlier card to make this card as well. Only I used white colour pencil to colour those beautiful bells because white gel pen would have been too much white pigment for those bells.
Both bells and sentiment are from Jingle bells stamp set from Mudra.
Now I come to my third card
I stamped those poinsettias and sentiment with vintage sepia and added details with white get pen. I drew outlines for poinsettias and added some white dots as well. And while doing this I started thinking that the earlier look of the card without white details was also not bad.. In fact I thought it was better. So I did 4th card without white details :)
In this version I just added little white colour at the centre of poinsettias with colour pencil. What do you think? Which version do you like better? Please let me know in comments :)
I enjoyed so much making these cards and I hope you too like them.
Here is how all 4 cards looked together

Mix it up!!

Hi people,
Have you already heard of a very interesting challenge by Ellen Hutson? Its called Mix it up challenge where they challenge us to create a project by mixing two brands. One is always of course Essentials by Ellen and second brand keeps on changing!! Sounds interesting Huh!! This time We have to mix it up with Art impressions  I came up with this!!

That Beautiful "Beautiful" die is from Ellen Hutson and the lady with wine glass in her hand is from Wine Tasters Set - 4383 from Girlfriends series. While colouring this cute image from Art impressions I also kept the  Day 1 of 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2016  in my mind.

And used the same colour theme. Red lips, pink wine, teal shirt and green stool :) I just loved making this tag and I am so happy that it turned out so pretty.
I hope you like it:)

Congrats!! card with bokeh background

Hi everybody,
Today I am here with a brand new card which I made for Altenew's November Inspiration challenge. The inspiration picture was so tempting, even after being quite busy these days I couldn't resist playing.
Please have a look at the inspiration picture..

And I came up with this card

I had put some Gansai Tambi starry night water colors over flowers and they looked so pretty with that light shimmer. But because of this my card was reflecting the light so I had to take picture in one more orientation.

For making this card I first created the background of bluish green colour with the distress inks. I used evergreen bough and mowed lawn colours. Second step was to create bokeh effect as in inspiration picture. I used my Hero arts unicorn white pigment ink and sponged it over handmade circle stencil. ( I die cut different size of circles out of a OHP sheet)
Once background was ready, I stamped flowers from wild hibiscus stamp set. and then coloured them using Tombow dual brush markers. To give a 3D effect in flowers I put I glued one set of them on the prepared background and glued partially the second copy on them. If you notice left flower you can make that out. :)
I also spluttered some Gansai Tambi gold water colour it just enhanced the beauty of the card beautifully :) I also put a very light coat of this shimmery gold on flowers as well just to make them even more prettier.
I tied a red twine and stamped the sentiment on a stripe of card stock which was also my card base's colour.
And finally I foam mounted the card panel on the card base. And Ta da.. My card was ready!!
I hope you like the card

You are spectacular

Hi friends,
I made this card quite a while ago when I didn't have a blog. But it remains to be one of my all time favourites. So I thought of sharing with you guys.

I have used "Incognito" stamp set and "Glasses" dies from Paper Smooches in this card. The background has been made with first heat embossing the glasses in white.  Then I sponged tumbled glass distress ink to give it a more of masculine look.
The sentiment was stamped on vellum to give the card a very subtle look. And I used pink glasses with blue frame joust to increase the interest.
Hope you like it :)

Happy anniversary card with Paper Smooches

Hi friends,
I am back from a long break and today I made this card for one of my cousin for her marriage anniversary :)

The word "Love" is heat embossed and distressed with festive berries distress ink. Sentiment is stamped in black Versafine ink. Both "love" and "happy anniversary" are from Good Gab stamp set from Paper Smooches. Those fish tail banners have been made with scraps of pattern papers and held by a heart shaped brad.  Quite easy huh!!
Hope my cousin likes it and you too.

Best mom in the world and Daisy stamp set from Altenew

Hey people,
I am here with a quick post. The inspiration picture of current Inspiration Challenge of Altenew is so colourful that I instantly thought of participating. I had only one day at hand and I came up with this card :)

I liked so much those blue and green washi tapes that I created whole card on that colour theme. This beautiful layered flower is Daisy stamp set from Altenew.  "Best mom in the world" sentiment is from Wild Hibiscus stamp set also from Altenew. :) Other than stamping there is some inking to create that green border.

I hope you like it

I love Math

Hi creatives,
I  am back from my holidays and I feel so relaxed. I must say I misses crafting :) Today I am here with a card which is inspired from an inspiration board at I love math challenge #1. Maths being my favourite subject I wanted to play along as soon as I saw this challenge.
The inspiration board is quite interesting

and I came up with this card

I just hope that its easily understandable :)
I had to use some circular shape so Venn diagram were only choice I could think of to incorporate that shape mathematically. And after lot of brain storming I thought I will show the union operation.
I used "<" + "3" = <3 (heart)
Second, I had to use positive negative effect. I had a hard time understanding it :) so I used masking and stamping to give that effect. I first stamped the "<" in black ink through mask and then sponged yellow ink. Next, I put a acetate over this circle and stamped the "<" again with yellow ink.  I hope you are getting me. Same process was followed in all three parts.
I used yellow and red in first two circles and then orange in third to show their union ( red+yellow=orange) :) It also fulfilled the third requirement of challenge( yellow and orange colours)
Next, I stamped the sentiment on a card base and adhered the trimmed focal point with foam tapes to add some dimensions.
And that completes my card for today.
I am linking this card to following challenges
Hope you like it.
Thanks and regards

Congrats on your new home

Hello people,

Happy new year !! And here comes my first post of 2016. I was asked by a friend to design a card as a gift for her sister, congratulating her on her new home. And I came up with this card.

Yes its a shaker card !!Initially I didn't have any idea what I was going to make but it turned out really well. I have had this mini stamp set from Papertrey ink for so long but never got to use it. It is so apt for this occasion.
In India when people buy a new house they usually organize a Pooja (Worshipping God) before starting to live in it. That's why I chose these traditional colours (shade of saffron and reddish pink).
The house image is stamped with Avery elle inks Fizz and Raspberry and then fussy cut. Ashley's fussy cutting tips came really handy. you can check out her video here. The sentiment is stamped with black archival ink. And to provide the matting of matching colours I actually smooshed the Fizz and Raspberry ink pads on the edges of mats. And They looked really cool.
I just looveed it!! hope you also like it.
